Train services to North suspended


  • Online news:
The State Railway of Thailand on Monday announced the suspension of train services to the North where several sections of the rail tracks have been submerged by floodwater.
The trains suspended until further notice are:
- Special express diesel train No 11 (Bangkok - Chiang Mai), to depart from Bangkok at 6pm,
- Special express train No 1 (Bangkok - Chiang Mai), to depart from Bangkok at 6.10pm,
- Special express train No 13 (Bangkok - Chiang Mai), to depart from Bangkok at 7.35pm,
- Express train No 51 (Bangkok - Chiang Mai), to depart from Bangkok at 10pm.
Rapid train No 109 (Bangkok - Chiang Mai) which left Bangkok at 2.30pm stopped only at Den Chai railway station in Phrae province.  Passengers were further transported by buses to the destination.
