The details were released yesterday, the fifth, about SMAP's first overseas concert!

The stage where they will be performing on will be in Worker's Stadium in Beijing, one of the largest in the country. The date is September 16th. The theme of the concert was decided to be the following: “Do Your Best Japan, Thank You China, Asia is One"

SMAP was supposed to perform their first concert in June of 2010 but because it caused more influence/confusion than expected as well as the organizing committee worrying about the chaos that would be created live, they decided to cancel it.

And in addition to that, the October concert had also been postponed because of the problem between Japan and China as a result of the Chinese fishing boats colliding with the boats of the Japanese coast guards, causing tension between the two countries. That tension was lifted on March 11, after the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami swept over East Japan and China helped out by donating goods as well as providing other support for Japan. So SMAP's concert in September is aimed at expressing their gratitude to China's support.

Wen Jia Bao had also met with SMAP in May where Wen Jia Bao had referred to the upcoming performance. "I sincerely welcome your performance in China." It was during that same day that SMAP performed the Chinese version of the song Sekai ni Hitotsu Dake no Hana

For this upcoming performance, SMAP members have already stated that they will be performing the songs in Chinese. Katori Shingo states "There will be a lot of songs we will be performing in Chinese. Even though it's difficult, I think it will be a good challenge. I will sing whole-heartedly while trying to infuse my gratitude towards China at the same time.

There have been other Japanese artists who have performed at the Worker's Stadium in Japan including GLAY, Hamasaki Ayumi, and Tanimura Shinji etc.
