I'm still a civil servant: Gayus

ribery convict and former tax officer Gayus H. Tambunan, who stood trial at the Jakarta Corruption Court on Monday, told the court that he was still a civil servant at the Finance Ministry.
During the trial, prosecutors said Gayus was a former Tax Directorate General civil servant. However, Gayus said he had not been dismissed when the presiding judge, Suhartoyo, confirmed the work status of Gayus.
"There's been a mistake. I am still a civil servant under the Finance Ministry," Gayus said as reported by tribunnews.com.
Based on Gayus' response, Suhartoyo then ordered prosecutors to correct the letter of charges unless the prosecutors could prove that Gayus had been dismissed as a civil servant.
Gayus is standing trial for corruption implicating Roberto Santonius, a tax consultant hired by PT Metropolitan Retailmart, and for bribing a warden at the Kelapa Dua Mobile Brigade Headquarters detention where he was being held.
